Joe Ingram takes you through the action you have to feel sorry for Matt Berkey…I think his river shove is good but perhaps I’m wrong.
And sometimes they have a hand that you just don’t even see in their range

I’m desperate to win the EAPT Prague for €115,000, I wouldn’t do a deal for less than €100,000 and the trophy…or would I?
Step one complete, I busted a $5 satellite then I came first out of 30 runners in the $22 satellite. I was the sole qualifier with 645,000 chips or $645 virtual.
I am second in chips out of the 18 qualifiers so far for the Sunday 7 pm 10 x $1,500 packages gtd tournament.
I played really well then ost 2 flips 3 handed when chip lead in bavk to back hands. I fought my way back and won a flip with A 10 v 44 to take it down.
So I ran a pair of eights into aces with 4 left and lost half my stack, followed by shoving KQ over 3 limpers to be called but AK.
Of course I hit my Queen and lost to a rivered straight…poker sucks.
I want to qualify for Prague and take it down before Xmas. Today was 1 x $5 and 2 x $22 = $49 of nothing…enough for today…
I’m not sure about Matt Berkey some of his play seems questionable to me.
Donnie Stern has quit the game. He was famous for starring in 2 Months 2 Million, a documentary where a crew of poker players hired a mansion in Vegas and played hard for their goal.
It seems despite $3M plus in tournament wins he can’t beat the game. He had recently lost in the region of a $1 Million to Berry Sweet online.
Seems I’m not alone.
I hadn’t played for 6 weeks and it had felt good scuba diving and hitting the beach. A new girlfriend had done a good job distracting me too but it was a Wednesday night and with no plans the thought of cards and chips drew me back in.
I headed to Aspers for the £50 £1,000 GTD tournament but when I arrive at 6:55pm no one had registered. Finally we got under way and by the end we had 22 runners and 7 rebuys for a 1st place prize of £503. I took it down played great and won the heads up battle with an open ended straight draw v 2 pair spiking my card on the turn gor a great night out.
6 days later I was back playing cash time to run it up. Well I ran up a quick £60 profit before dumping £300 with some awful play losing my last £65 in a spot where my hand was never ever good. Nothing worse than losing money playing badly…the empty feeling in the stomach the following morning that every “gambler” feels..
I am philosophical, I am up but my cash game sucks I need to work harder. I feel the new girlfriend will distance me from the game but I’m hoping less will be more.
The biggest loser at the table is often the biggest winner…
I love Mike Matusow when he says this at the end “You have to know who is playing off scared money and who is not”
Worst thing was Will showed that he was capable of folding 2 pr and playing too snug for the game opening himself to be put in future tough spots. Never show especially never show tight folds it’s amateurish.
Not sure about Andrew Robl his Herndon Mob seems to have dried up.
If you lose $130K in a night the wins vanish pretty quickly.
