CardRunners formerly the number one poker training site has closed, it used to charge $30 a month for content. It seems they will load their over 3,000 hours of video content to YouTube, so you’ll never have to buy a poker book again.

I just realised that there is no need to spend £25 on a poker book anymore as you can find everything you need on YouTube. Search for Poker Bank they have excellent content, Doug Polk, Poker Hands etc. to get excellent analysis and training.

Played £40 bounty at Aspers, players were awful and I was one of them dusted off my stack to a guy who donked into me with top pair, a bluff on a 4-flush to be called by second pair by a guy who called my 3-Bet OOP with KQ0. Then I shoved Ac3c to a bunch of limper to be called in 4 places with Kc6c taking it down.

Went home disgusted with my play and the run I’m on, I need to up my game for Vegas.

Down £150 from Friday and it doesn’t feel good, had a great pizza and a beer for £10 which puts the loss in perspective as I had no joy from either game.

Congratulations to Doug Polk, I’ve followed his Vlog for a while and the content is excellent. He’s taught me a great deal and kept me entertained while doing it, feels good to see him get his rewards.

Bought in for the 888 at Aspers for £110.

Haven’t played in 2 weeks, limped SB to BB early on and he raised to 300, I re-raised to 1,800 and he called flop came 10 2 2  and I c-bet 2,000 and he raised to 6,000 the turn was a 10 and I checked. He raised 12,000 and I folded by QQ face up, he told me later he had flopped quad deuces.

On another hand I bet top pair on the flop with A8 of diamonds and bet the turn to get min check-raised. I had the nut flush draw so called, the  river came an 8 and I had trip 8s with an ace kicker. He bet 12,000 and I should have folded I talked to him and he seemed relaxed and then his eyes flickered and I convinced myself he had missed a draw, I called and he showed me the turned straight. It was bad play on my part, I had to fold the river it was an easy fold.

Final hand I have 10K and face a Button raise of 700 in the SB I re-raise to 2,100 with A6. BB folds and Button calls, I should have bet 2,400 OOP, the flop comes 10 10 7 and I check button puts me all in and I insta call it off thinking I have A7. He turns over K7 and I say A7 and turn over A6, what a way to bust a tournament.

I missed out on a date with a girl to set fire to £110 in 2 hrs and left feeling miserable.

But not as miserable as Ivey after this hand

I enjoy watching videos from the cash game at Live at the Bike, I really look forward to playing there one day.
